there are other options. I work at UPS third shift, they pay for my college and I still get about $200 a week. just look at you're options. there are plenty put there... of you look
really! wow!! I wnt to do thag
If you're talking about US Savings Bonds, they reach final maturity at 30 years, but can be redeemed earlier. Other bonds can usually be sold, so you can get some of the money.
Your sense if entitlement is staggering.

If you don't have the money, just take the year off and work for it. I'm bias though, since I don't like student loans. They give a lot of money out, to people who will go through it quickly, then add interest to it once you graduate. And after that, your life will be dedicated in paying them off. Hope this goes through. Replying to a fml via iPod is annoying.
agreed. they barely ever post from my iPhone.
Almost all bonds can be sold prior to their date of maturity. Google "How to redeem US Savings Bonds" Good luck, OP
What do you mean screwed? Get financial aid and a student loan you'll be fine.. Why do people whine about stupid stuff like this?
And stop being so ungrateful... Your mother didn't have to do anything for you... My parents said "yeah I'll cosign on your loans" and that's all... You're lucky to have a little more..
if you can't figure out how savings bonds accrue interest, you shouldn't go to college

You're not screwed. Just take out loans if you have to, and then when the bonds mature use them to pay off the loans. I mean, were those bonds REALLY enough to pay for your entire education? Depending on where you go, that could cost $40k or more.
Well... Maybe you could use those in the future to help pay off student loans? Or a community college is a great way to get your general ed. out of the way, and save money!
