Today, my mother threw away my brand new headphones. She saw them on the couch with duct tape on the wires and assumed they were "old, broken, and cheap." I put the tape there to avoid damaging the wires. FML

Even if they were old, the fact that there was duct tape on them should have suggested they were worth fixing...

Uhhhh why would you use duct tape, of all things? That gets extremely sticky and disgusting after a while and would ruin your wires if you try to take it off.

One thing you can do is not leave your headphones laying around...or explain why you did that...she should understand...

I hope they weren't really expensive like Bose or Seinheiser. Also NEVER use duct tape on headphone wires that shit will wreck them, if you feel you need to protect them electrical tape or masking tape
