Apologize and start not taking showers and make yourself smell bad. Tell her your saving money.
Did you pay the bill?
I think your profile picture answers that.
Sounds like any excuse will do to get you to pay bills.
Ya, I'm thinking maybe op's mom needed some help with the bills (or if op is older and living at home then wants them to start paying some bills instead of rent) and instead of talking about it (like she should've done) she waited till op had a shower and used that as an excuse. Maybe sit down with her and ask her why she wants you to pay the bill or ask if she needs help financially etc. it may be that you're 17 or 18 and they want you to start paying for some things instead of paying full rent or living completely free; like a happy medium.
Ask your dad what "quick" means in regards to your mothers interpretation.
He man if two minutes is long his dad must be forever in the bed if he's average
It could be that op is 17 or 18 and they want them to start paying for some stuff instead of paying full rent or living there for free. Some parents start to ask for rent at 18. Usually if they don't have lots of money or are a bit stretched financially they get the kid (who is now an adult & working) to help out.
Our rule was 18, unless we were still in school. If we didn't go to school we were expected to get a job and either move out or pay rent. If we were in school, we were expected to focus on school, not juggling a job and school. I never got that far though, I moved out at 16.
Don't worry, parents tend to be sarcastic and joke around with their kids. My parents did it all the time when I lived with them.
Pay, the utilities and charge her ever time she turns something on.
Tell her to bugger off you won't pay all of it as you both use the shower
Why did this make it through the mod process...?
just pay your fair share.... and then shower for 15 minutes and leave all the lights on!
