Today, my mum found out she's pregnant. I would be happy for her, if she knew who the father was. FML

Cougar, well OP, you're getting a step sibling.

It would be half because they'd still be related. Step sibling is when you're not related to them at all.

Cougars are ladies who date younger men. That doesn't have anything to do with sleeping around. Step siblings are unrelated by blood. They are related by marriage. Since OP shares their mother with their new sibling, but not their father, that would make the new baby their half-sibling.

And that makes your life suck. Trust me, if that's the worst that's happened to you, we can switch families

Whether she's old or young she shouldn't be sleeping around to the point she doesn't know who the father is.

That's rude. I'm not justifying sleeping around, but still.

That's not a nice thing to say about someone's mother, whether or not it's true. I doubt OP appreciates that sort of insult directed at their mother. And in any case, it may not be true. This may not be normal behavior for OP's mother, and even if she does regularly have multiple sexual partners, that doesn't make her a ****. In my book, a **** is someone who is dishonest with their sexual partners, for example, saying, "I love you" just to get them into bed, or telling then you're single when you're not.

I really hope you know who your father is. That wouldn't be fair to you, or the baby.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I definitely would ask her.

Let your mum have her fun. Mind your own business and move out!

You're absolutely right. OP should not be concerned about her mother who is either sleeping with multiple men or had drunk sex and can't remember. Neither of these situations warrants ANY concern at all and OP should mind her own business. Right? Right? Idiot.

Being concerned nowadays is considered nosy.

You're right, Doc. If OP's mom is living a dangerous lifestyle, then OP should be concerned and try to help their mother see the error of her ways. After all, she already has an unplanned pregnancy. On the other hand, OP's mom is an adult and the way she lives is her own choice. Also, she might have the "I'm the mom and you're the kid. What the hell do you know?" attitude. It's a situation with no easy answer, unfortunately. :/

I freaking love you XD you're the one person who actually give it straight, bullshit and all.

What if OP is 16? What if OP's mom is a single struggling mom. Now she can't get support for her new child. Then again I didn't realize children being concerned for their parents was a horrible thing. so you are right. OP is a nosey bitch for being the slightest bit concerned.

**** I'm so sorry, that was aimed at DocBastard's comment, not the other one :/ I'm still figuring this website out

Hopefully for op and #1, that kind of bad decision making isn't hereditary, one Maury episode per family is enough.

Way to go you're an older brother or sister now! ..um sorry that your mom did that though she should keep the baby! :D
