Today, I realized that my neighbors can not only hear me singing in the shower through my apartment's paper-thin walls, they also take great delight in recording it so that they can play it at high volume for their friends when they next throw a party. I want to disappear. FML

Today, I was informed by my next door neighbor that they heard me singing in the shower last night. I laughed and she told me that the family gathers in their upstairs room closest to my bathroom window to guess which song I'm singing. Every night. FML

Today, I was singing my heart out in the shower, convinced I was alone. Turns out my roommate had friends over, and they could hear everything through the bathroom vent. Now, they keep requesting encore performances of my renditions of songs by The Smiths. FML

Today, I was singing in the shower but couldn't hit the higher notes. My wife complained and 2 minutes later she ran a tap causing my shower to go freezing. I shrieked. My wife said my pitch was still wrong. FML

Today, while taking a shower, I was enthusiastically singing one of my favorite songs. When I got out, I noticed a bunch of things missing, and a note on my desk saying "shut the f*ck up, you suck." I was robbed and judged by a thief. FML

It's not HER apartment, it's a building everyone shares and pays the rent to one person. Just try to find a room where it's harder to hear. In my apartment, no neighbors can hear me in my room, but everyone can hear everyone else in the bathrooms. And guess what? If you were a good singer, they'd be complaining to. There is nothing more annoying than someone who won't stop singing when you don't want them to, it feels like someone is drilling something into your brain. I know this because my siblings and I all sing, but when they're just singing whatever they don't know when or how to stop.

OP: listen, ignore the responses about singing quieter. blare your voice. install a megaphone and microphone with the loudest amp you can find and sing "I know a song that gets on your nerves" or any celine dion song! when they have complained 3 times tune it down get rid of the mic but don't stop singing. people who sing live a healthier, happier lifestyle. it goes into the soul and makes your mind explode with joy!

You idiot who tell her to sing louder need to realize that if enough of her neighbors are annoyed by it they can kick her out. It's their apartments too. Sing all you want, just remember that other people are there.

To everyone going "HURRR SING LOUDER :D" and acting self-righteous about it, I'm sure you'd all be reacting similarly to the anonymous neighbor if you were in a similar situation, and forced to listen to someone's godawful singing day after day. Leaving an anonymous note was a bit of a douche move, sure, but that doesn't change the fact that there's very few things in the world more annoying than being forced to listen to some tonedeaf person singing.
