I disagree. My mother is a dumb ****, and I haven't spoken to her in over a year. If she called me right now, I would not answer. Some parents are just crappy and don't deserve to speak to their children.

OP, i admire the fact that you are persistent in trying to mend the relationship at least but after awhile you have to let go. If you did something and he doesn't want to forgive you then thats it or if he's just being a douche and doesn't respect you then you don't need to waste time on him. I know he's your kid and all but family is not blood deep its like the feels and all.
