Today, my paranoia got so bad that I had to physically restrain myself from aggressively confronting the kid walking behind me on the sidewalk. FML

I suggest therapy. You might do something you'll regret if you don't get help.

I don't say this to be mean but maybe you should get help? Life might turn around and be a whole lot better if you do

That sucks. :( you must've experienced something horrible to be that paranoid. ):

How do you physically restrain yourself? Unless you cuffed yourself to a bench, signpost etc.

I am just beyond glad you're still able to see how what you're feeling is wrong. Go to a crisis center (really don't be worried, it's just the most effective way to be seen Immediately by a psychiatrist) and get some meds for that until you can find a more permanent solution. Also, the crisis center will help you get a therapist immediately — which I'm guess will be the source of the permanent solution. Don't blow this off, your issues are severe enough that they can easily become debilitating, Don't let that happen!! Help yourself while you can

When things get to a point where you may harm yourself or others, you need help NOW. Call your family doctor or nearest crisis center. Please take care of yourself and seek help.

I felt that way but mine is grime PTSD from the war if I were you I would find the right medication of you could hurt the wrong persons friend

And if your an army combat vet I am also click on my pic and shoot me a message I can help you in the right direction or just be your friend

How does one physically restrain himself.

Cross arms in front of chest, depending on how much you actually need to hold yourself back you might mimic a straitjacket. Biting your tongue is physically retraining yourself from speech. Hands shoved deep into pockets to restrain from throwing a punch. Sitting down on a bench and angling feet to go behind the legs of the bench to prevent impulsive kicking. Shall I go on?

It doesn't matter if you're paranoid from the war or some traumatic event or if you're paranoid because you have a personality disorder. I just hope there's a way to get you medicated and/or in therapy. This is actually a FML post that makes me worry instead of laugh or shake my head. *hugs*

Go see a therapist...that should help...

Yeah, you should get checked up for that. I hope things get better for you.
