Today, my parents held an intervention for me. Apparently they think I'm turning into a goth. All because they saw me re-lacing my shoes with black shoelaces instead of white ones. FML

That's ridiculous, black shoelaces look better than white ones (I think). But I didn't know that shoelace-color had anything to do with being gothic :/

I'm goth. do I need an "intervention"? no. im straight edge and I get good grades. just because my style and psychological patterns are a little different from others doesn't mean it's bad. your parents are ignorant bigots- do you agree with them?

#20, thank you! People always assume the worst when they see me ( I'm goth) but in reality, I'm a good student, I respect people, and I volunteer around the city. It's not like I'm going to go kill them all, just because I wear black, I'm pale, and I like the darker things in life.

I don't understand what's so bad about being gothic. My parents won't let me either. I asked my mum if she had any black nail polish I could borrow and she grasped my shoulders, shook me wildly and stated, "YOU CAN'T BE GOTH!!!!!" When I asked her why, she stopped speaking to me. I had black lipstick from Halloween and was planning to sneak it to school so I could wear it and my mum raided my room and searched for it. She then gave it back to me and ordered me to throw it out. I don't get what's so bad about being goth!
