I'm 19 and my girlfriend is 27. This age difference doesn't seem bad because we're both legal. the parents are legal now and that's what matters. They just happened to meet at a younger age.

there's only 2 reasons a 20 year old would date a 14 year old. 1. he's a "loser" that no girl his age would touch with a 10 foot pole. or 2. Hey poster-take it from me here. The father of my oldest is 6 years older then me. I fell for a glib tongue and got played way wrong because I. did not have the maturity level to see what was going on. At the age of 14 I became a mother and watched him take after my best friend once he found out. Some one that age wants an easy conquest simple as that. For everyone fixing to lambast me with negative comments, my child is a happy, well adjusted 13 year old and I have a sound career and working on masters. I was not on welfare, nor am I now, and while I was an idiot, my children are not mistakes. As to statutory rape-they could only press it if the parents so choose. You really should take the majority of these posters' advice. At age 14 I thought the adults around me were wrong about relationships and the boy I was involved with. I ended up losing my virginity at that age, which I see now was far too young. Needless to say that boy had nothing to do with me after. You need to focus on yourself and school. Relationships at such a young age are almost always immature mistakes. But hey, it's your life. You're allowed to mess up however badly you want.
