Today, my school textbook's back cover ripped off. Not wanting to have my teacher find out, I glued the cover back together. Only after the glue dried did I realize that I actually glued the back cover upside down. FML

Hey this is OP, I made an account to comment and shed a little light on the situation. Yes, I go to public school, and yes we have to pay fines for damaged or missing books. The thing is, the back cover was only barely hanging on and it snapped off while I was taking it out of my bag. I put down in the original FML that it came off due to being worn.

Just tell the teacher not to judge your book by its cover.

I repair books for a living (as my user name implies). Putting a cover on upside down is an amazingly easy thing to do.

Hmm, you can put a cloth book cover over it. You can buy them for less than a dollar at Job Lot or a similar store. That will disguise it and also hold it together a bit better. When you have to turn it in at the end of the year, well...hopefully she won't notice.

Just tell your teacher. Crap like that happens all the time. He/she will understand!

I am just going tl assume that English is not your first language and if so then I will not comment anymore.

You can't glue it on upside down, only on the other side, which no logical human being would have done. Not believing this story...
