Today, my sculpture, which is very important for my art grade, fell from my desk and broke to pieces. My art teacher suggested I soak the parts in water to make it easier to stick them back together. They dissolved. FML

Do you have time to remake it? If not your art teacher should understand. She was the one who suggested you soak them in water.

I just had two projects I need to pass my ceramics class explode because someone else's project blew up in the kiln

Maybe your art teacher told you to put them in water KNOWING THEY WOULD DISSOLVE. Just to test you to see if you had paid attention in any of his class.. Obviously you didn't pay attention so... YDI...

It's a good thing your teacher knows what their talking about. That sucks.

I just spent a whole weekend on several ceramics pieces to have them fall out and smash on the pavement when I opened up my car door to carry them in to the critique. I FEEL FOR YOU OP.

Your teachers an idiot, anyone who knows anything about clay knows it will dissolve when it's soaked it water, why do you think you have to fire it in a kiln for it to harden?

Dang. Well, lesson learned, right? Better luck next time :D
