Today, my sixteen-year-old daughter put her soda in the microwave to “cool it down by making the ice cubes melt faster”. FML

If you place a closed, room temperature soda can in icy water and add salt, the salt causes the ice to melt rapidly resulting in a quickly cooled beverage in about 60 seconds. This is such a cool little trick to know :D

Well this is certainly going in the diary!

I had to reread the fml to make sure you said sixteen and not six. She's one smart girl lol

The first time I read this I read " my six year old daughter did..." and thought "wow what a smart little kid" upon re-reading it however...

Keep sodas in fridge, cold sodas with ice taste amazing, like a whole different drink.

**** your life... Who taught your daughter these things... Who taught your daughter most of what she knows...

At age 16, and factual/logical knowledge? School, mostly, assuming she were not homeschooled.

Extra points if it was in a plastic bottle or a can.
