If OP lived in the US, this post would make a hell of a lot more sense. Times are ******* tough man. Nearly a tenth of the country is out of a job and most of the people who do work hardly have enough to feed themselves. When we do get food, it's cheap fast food, which is terrible for us. I'd like to eat healthy, but I can afford to eat healthy... Many prisons in the U.S. receive better food than our public schools receive (I once got rotting fried chicken in high school). The sad fact is that these days prison is just a better fed life with a guaranteed roof over your head. Yeah prison is bad, but it's exaggerated on TV because what's really damaging is the fact it bars you from doing most things when you get out. If you don't see yourself having a future as a salary worker and rather a dingy little shitshack for a home(if you're doing well) prison seems like a much better alternative.
