PsychoBillyGoat tells us more.
My wife was worried about the cat because he is elderly and needs meds every 12 hours. He also has no claws ( we got him that way). He has never been outside before but lately he has been trying to get out. Also we live in Alaska, more to worry about then cars and dogs getting him

He was prob watching you call him too!
I live in AK too! It's not fun in the winters, but it's also not the bitter arctic wasteland that a lot of people think it is.
You're an awesome husband being
One trick to determine if the cat is lost or hiding is to shake a bag of treats. If your cat comes running, then all is well.
There needs to be another button other than "your life sucks" or "you deserved it". I'm thinking "That's not so bad". You could've really lost your cat, and I doubt you spent more than $100 and 5 hours. If that's the worst thing that happens in your life, consider yourself lucky.
