Today, not only did I find out that my 13 year-old daughter is pregnant, I found out that she did it on purpose "to prove that she’s responsible." FML

take her to the doctor, and put her on birth control. babies having babies. sick. and while you're at it send her to therapy bc if she jumps to pregnancy to prove she's responsible, something is going on.

I hope you followed this up with showing her how responsible it is to get an abortion and use proper birth control. Before anyone jumps on me - no one wants a 13 year old having a baby.

What?...Anyone else remember the classic way of showing responsibility, Not trashing the house with a party the first time your parents leave town?...That sucks though. I will not tell anyone what to do as it will be a heart wrenching choice no matter the decision. I just hope it is the right decision for everyone but there is no easy out.

Is it just me or is getting pregnant at 13 pretty much the opposite of being responsible?

Hate to break it to you, but your daughter is completely insane

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree....

As her punishment, give her the complete package of parenthood. Wake her up at ungodly hours and don't let her go back to sleep for a good 30-120 minutes, forbid her from hanging out with her friends, etc.

You might want to rethink how you raise your kids. Kids often live the lives you teach them to.

Put it up for adoption or abort it, then disown the daughter. She's FUBAR if you ask me.

Did it work? Is she now considered responsible?😕

A 13 year old is too young to have kids. It's not healthy for her body. In this case I would abort it for her safety and to avoid the stigma at school. You don't want her to be that kid in school that is a single teen mother and people call her names. Or adopt it out. And either way force her to get an IUD. As far as "responsible", it's possible that she never got her first period (menarche), so she thought she wasn't fertile yet. Ovulation can happen prior to mensuration. I didn't get my periods until I was 17 and that was only because of CBC pills because of PCOS. Or she has no earthly idea what raising a kid is like. Either way, she should know what the consequences are. And she will find out even if you don't get the belt or a switch off the tree.

..she couldn't have asked for a kitten?
