Today, on my way to Burger King I got into a heated discussion with my wife about our cats. We have 15 rescues, and I've reached my limit. Guess what came running up to my car while waiting in the drive-through. We named him Pickles. FML

Do you want fries with that? In all honesty, I like the idea of rescuing animals, but, you are right, there is a limit, especially if it is in your home. Hopefully you can reach a compromise! Until then, I hope you like Pickles :P

Maybe time to grow a pair. Lol

I have two dogs ( one of them is a rescue ) and as soon as money gets tight, that's when you stop rescuing! Better yet, get them all neutered and adopt them out for $25 each. Never offer them homes for free - too many sickos out there with free time on their hands can always find a free pet to torture and this must stop! I love dogs and would take a bullet for one, but sometimes we can only save one at a time and while that might not seem like a lot, it is a WHOLE lot to the one you saved! :) Remember, if you don't take care of yourself, you can't care for others!

Rescuing is one of the best things someone can do. But I really hope that you're acting more as a foster, than actually planning to keep all these cats.. Or at least that you live outside of town and these are outdoor cats. Acting as a foster would be perfect in this situation, though. Taking them in, and caring for them for a short term while you find good homes for them.

That's like what my mom does, they show up and we intend for them to find other homes, but she gets way too attached. We are actually starting to become allergic to cats, its not healthy.

Moral of the story: don't go to burger king.

Um, how do you know "pickles" was a stray? You may have just nicked someone's pet.

Just make them all outdoor cats but keep 2 inside so she doesn't get lonely, my grandmother has 24 cats, she is the deffinishon of crazy cat lady.

You need to put your foot down. She may have an animal hoarding problem.

I fail to see how 16 cats is a problem.
