Today, on the subway, a woman got off without her suitcase. I grabbed the case, chased her onto the platform, and shouted, "You forgot your suitcase!" while the doors closed behind me. In actual fact, it wasn't her suitcase, and its actual owner was still on the train. FML

Today, I was on the train, minding my own business, when - completely without warning - some dude grabbed my suitcase and ran off the train with it, yelling after a woman that she had forgotten it in what was clearly a thinly veiled attempt at covering up a robbery so no one else would be suspicious. FYL. Why wasn't the real owner chasing after you?

Because it happened so fast and the doors closed behind the OP?

Well don't keep us waiting! What was in it? I bet it was drugs and money. :D

You sure seem to know specifics... you get to know "Steve"?

leadman1989 15

Hahaha... I guess that was kind of obvious *puts on shades (LIES) OBVIOUS :p

YDI for trying too hard to make yourself feel like a good person.

Who would have known I'd offend so many people with that comment... (sarcasm)

This is why it pays to mind your own dang business.

1. The person probably got on before OP. 2. The person was likely sitting by the person that the suitcase belongs to so therefore OP made an honest mistake. 3. If you forgot something on a subway, bus, etc., wouldn't you want someone to let you know?

"Look what I stole for you! Let's go live a life of crime and adventure."

"Let's eat sushi . . . and not pay."

Yeah! And then we can cross the road when it clearly says don't walk!

Hopefully you were able to find a way to return it to the rightful owner. (:
