Today, one of my closest friends informed me that she wasn't going to invite me to her wedding, because I'm too shy and not enough fun, and she doesn't want her 200 or so guests to feel uncomfortable. I was the one who set the happy couple up. FML

I know it hurts, but I wouldn't go even if she change her mind. She obviously doesn't consider you as close a friend, as you do her.

This ungrateful friend doesn't deserve to have you at the wedding.

Not a friend at all as I'm sure you see now. But perhaps some good can come from this? Are you "painfully shy" and find it difficult to be around people? Perhaps you could talk to some of your true friends and if they also feel that way you could take some steps through therapy to reduce your shyness and become more engaging to people? Good luck.

Wow, that just blows. It sounds really ungrateful and selfish. Since you set them up it would be a special thing to have you at her wedding, but to not invite you is just wrong.

So sorry OP, she sounds like the one who's not very fun. She was probably just being your friend because you set her up with her fiancee.

And i tought i was having a bad day, my condolences
