Today, I attempted to assemble a piece of furniture that boasted "easy, step-by-step instructions." Three hours later, surrounded by mismatched screws and a confusing diagram, I realized the only thing "easy" about it was my decision to ask my dad to come round and assemble it for me. FML

Today, I spent an hour painstakingly disassembling my antique mirror after discovering a stack of papers behind the back board. I finally got hold of one corner, and pulled out - a newspaper from 2007 and instructions for an IKEA bed. FML

Today, I attempted to assemble a piece of furniture that claimed to be "easy to build in minutes." Four hours and multiple arguments later, I realized I had misread the instructions, and half the parts were upside down. I'm pretty sure the furniture won this round. FML

Today, my new futon mattress arrived. Upon laying it out on the frame, I realized IKEA has whack bed sizings. When I went to return the mattress for a queen, they informed me a queen mattress wouldn't be here until sometime next week. I already threw out my old crappy mattress. FML

i feel your pain. i've been there. it sucks when the corporate world mocks you/tries to make you smile/fails miserably. i smiled only cause i've been there. i'm sorry honey. chin up. pray for good things. and go out there and try to make friends... if they think you're weird, so what... you'll never see them again and they're stupid twats. think of how much fun you can make of THEM later! good times had by all!!! there's someone else out there waiting for you too :) go find 'em, lovely.
