Today, there was a laundry basket of my clothes sitting in my room. My dad asked me if they were clean or not. When I said I didn't know, he picked up a piece of my clothing, sniffed it, and said it smelled fine. That piece of clothing just so happened to be my underwear. FML

Today, after finishing the laundry, I took clothes out of the dryer and took a big whiff of their delicious clean scent. That was when I noticed that my mom was watching me, and I had just smelled my dad's still-stained underwear that was on top. FML

Today, I was doing the laundry but couldn't tell if one basket contained dirty clothes or clean clothes. I put my head down into the basket and took a whiff to check, and smelled something strong. I looked down and noticed I had shoved my nose into my mother's dirty panties and inhaled deeply. FML

Today, I was doing laundry and realized that my father had left dirty underwear soaking in a bucket outside for the last two weeks. I informed him that they needed to be thrown out, and they smelled like sewage. It's been over 95 degrees outside lately here. He then yelled and sweared at me. FML

Today, I noticed some of my things in my slob of a roommate's piles of clothes. I found six pairs of my underwear that had gone missing. Turns out she hasn't done laundry recently so my underwear drawer was her own personal Victoria's Secret. I hadn't even worn a pair yet. All six were stained. FML

Today, I picked up my laundry from the wash-and-fold and proceeded to put everything away. I noticed a hand towel that wasn't mine and made a mental note to return it; turned out they'd given me someone else's boxers as well. My boyfriend doesn't believe me. FML

It was your DAD. He probably did this without even thinking that it might look weird. Your parents have seen you naked before and have washed your underwear so many times. They don't care if it's a shirt or your bra. Are we really so full of paranoia that we don't trust our parents anymore?

That's usually the best thing to test because it would be the most obvious. I doubt he buried his nose in the folds of the fabric and inhaled for 10 seconds. Just a little sniff. That's all.

This should really be getting posted by your father: Today, there was a laundry basket in my son's room. I asked him if they were clean so I could wash them if not, he replied with I don't know. I grabbed a piece of clothing to find out... they were clean... however I realized I just sniffed his underwear. FML

This might actually be creepy if he licked his lips, winked suggestively, or did some other inappropriate action afterwards. Assuming OP didn't leave that little bit out, this was just a dude trying to get a handle on his family's laundry situation.
