Why are people saying YDI? Perhaps OP has never seen mentally challenged people before or was in the clubbing mindset at the time... perhaps OP didn't even think about it too much or process it. Unless we know the situation and how the people looked and all, we can't really say. OP clearly had no idea they were mentally challenged and was just being friendly... so regardless, there's no way he/she deserves this awkward moment.

I can actually understand. My cousin has Downs, and he can be annoying as hell. Sometimes he tries to make out with his sisters. It's really not that hard to mistake someone like that for being drunk.
