I wonder how many people who do something like this because of texting would have been better off being born in a time where instant communication was the norm. It's really not hard to wait to respond. Of course, if more people did that, we wouldn't have videos of people tumbling into mall fountains because they can't put the phone down.
I text all the time while I'm on the treadmill (including writing a few comments on FML) :P You just have to slow the speed down like you're in cool down mode first. (:
Aw, shit. Does this mean I'm gonna start seeing "Don't text and walk" PSAs? Just do us all a favor and don't injure yourself while chewing gum on the treadmill, okay? I don't want my multi-tasking talent to suddenly become a taboo.
*WOOOOOOSH!* There it goes! Right over your head!
You should have just waited until you finished your workout to reply to him.
Go figure - All the exercise-involved FML's are typically from California. I am boxed in by multiple 24-Hour fitness gyms >.>
TONIGHT, ON WHEN EXERCISE EQUIPMENT ATTACKS!
A girl texting at the gym runs into a bar, ouch. She tripped over her confidence trying to reassure her needy boyfriend that she indeed still loves him. I'm assuming you felt the burn from the treadmill. I'd suggest trying yoga, it helps with balance.
Texting while on a treadmill is like texting while driving - take your concentration away for one second, and embarrassing accidents can occur.
True, but they're also quite embarrassing for the driver who caused the accident.
A definite pattern emerges on FML: treadmill + non-exercise activity = crash landing + YDI.

Did you do a barrel roll? That usually offsets the embarrassment in my experiences. Who can laugh at a badass barrel-roller?
People never learn....the treadmill is a dangerous place!
