Aww! OP, that's actually very sweet. Nothing to be embarrassed about
You should be grateful. If she was the first one to get/make you a gift for Valentines Day at your age, you should rethink your life choices and not complain about her showing that she love and cares about her son. Now sit down, call your mom, thank her, and eat the damn cookies.
I think you should be a bit more grateful. She's your mother. If my mother did this for me, even if I was 39, I would call her and thank her. She's thinking of you at least. There's nothing wrong with parents giving their children small gifts like this, no matter how old that child may be.
YDI- Because you have a mom that still cares and loves you, who took time out of her life to to make you something like cookies. In all honesty, I'd say FYL if you got nothing. Never take your parents love for you for granted. It's not always going to be around.
That's still sweet. Tell her THANK YOU
You sound ungrateful. I'd be happy if my m ok Momma sent me cookies, means she loves you and is thinking of you. Doesn't matter if you are 39 or 89 be thankful
Still a great gift, shows your mom loves you.
Awwww
Be grateful.
