Today, while helping my aunts with a garage sale, I sold a relish tray that looked like my mothers. When I put stuff away, I found items of my mothers tagged. Turns out, instead of holding onto my dead mother's items for me until I can store them, they've been selling them at discount prices. FML

Well, if I had a house, I would have stored it all, but I used my inheritance to go to college. I was 19 and they offered to store it.

I'm sorry baby. I've been there. The important thing to remember is that you'll always have your mother as a part of you. That...and you can flatten their tires when they aren't looking. :D

Take some of their stuff and sell it. Obviously material possesion's aren't important to them. They shouldn't mind if you make a few dollars off of anything they bought =)

I dont think talking will work...your best bet would have been to make as big of a scene as you could to scare off everyone at the garage sale, then pack up all the stuff and take it. Besides, assuming that your mother left that stuff to you in her will, that is illegal....your aunt is selling stuff that doesnt belong to you. And yes, you should definitely get ALL the money from this.

Listen first stop it, second get your cut, third priorities straight: if you have too much crap to take whats important to you get rid of some of it, if all of its important then prioritize more. Sorry bout what happened cause that genuinely does suck so fyl.

Your relatives are not public storage units. If you want the junk, take it home.

Well, you obviously needed to do a better job of protecting YOUR belongings. Anyway, if they truly were bequeathed to you, then the money's actually yours. If they protest you taking your belongings, you can always take your relatives to court or at least claim some equivalent compensation. Whatever way it goes, at least you know who your true friends are(n't). Disown them.
