An accident?

Today, I lost yet another girlfriend because my ex tells every girl I go out with that I cheated on her. She DMs them screenshots of what I did. I know I’m no saint, but all that was 6 months ago, and it was an accident. I can’t change the past, but I can be sorry for what I did. I just can’t win in this situation. FML

Unless she has an identical twin sister, then it wasn't an accident. People just dont slip and fall and insert themselves into another person. Take accountability. Maybe instead of getting a new girlfriend, you reflect on what you did and why you did it, and try to learn and evolve from that, but you seem like the kinda guy who needs to be with someone for selfish reasons like not being alone or sex. So im sure you will be back fmling in another 6 months because you didn't learn a damn thing.

You deserve to never have another partner again for what you did. Men who cheat are scum. May you lose every partner you have going forward. And serve a nice, long prison sentence.

You suck. First, no one cheats "by accident". Second, it was only six months ago. You're still the same person. When you do grow up then either change towns and social groups, or else when you start getting serious tell your potential partner that you want to be serious, but you have some issues in your past, and your ex will probably let them know all about it. Come clean first, and let them decide if they want to give you a chance.

Every time I hear this, I am reminded of the movie THE LAST BOY SCOUT when Joe Hallenbeck (Bruce Willis) exposes his wife's lover in the closet and he said, "It just happened": "Sure, sure, I know... it just happened. Coulda happened to anybody. It was an accident, right? You tripped, slipped on the floor and accidentally STUCK YOUR D**K IN MY WIFE. 'Whoops! I'm so sorry, Mrs. H. I guess this just isn't my week!'"
