Today, while meeting some of the big boss guys at my new job, one of the men sneezed on his hand and then grabbed mine for a handshake. I felt every gooey bit of his snot between our hands. FML

That is not very hygienic. He should have nose this.

Just go ahead and chop that hand off, OP. Just to be safe.

That's one handshake you wanna avoid but couldn't. Tough luck OP!

Maybe this guy was trying to be a fun-Gus?

Which country has this custom to snEeze in your hand then shake hands..? I am just wondering!

I don't think it was a custom. just something one of his extremely disgusting bosses did. when I read this I nearly three up.

I'm pretty sure that's not a custom in any country.

Just go ahead and chop that hand off, OP. Just to be safe.

awesome. I understand that you couldn't avoid the shake, but how did he play it off? Did he make eye contact as he mashed the snot into your hand? Say anything at all to acknowledge it? stone cold this guy

And kill the dude to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Honestly, I would have lashed out at him and told him how insanely disgusting that is. No regrets, either. THEN go to the bathroom and was my hands etc.

Now you know what it takes to climb the corporate latter. According to some FML's you can also expect a handshake when they have pieces of toilet paper stuck to their hand or bumping into one of your bosses in the bathroom and have them shake your hand before/if they even wash them, etc. Carry hand sanitizer and you'll make it to the top.

Speak your mind, but please try and be respectful.Just a little pat on the back after the handshake is all it would've taken. What would he be able to say after that? "Hey, you rubbed my snot on my suit?" Not saying I would do it, just that it would've been an option
