Today, while out for our romantic Valentine's dinner, my boyfriend of 2 and a half years told me that he believes in females being subservient, that I'm not allowed to have opinions anymore, that he is "the alpha dog" and I'm merely the "beta dog", and that I have to "get used to it." FML

Today, I found out why my fiancé waited for me to meet his family. We had dinner at their place, the women were not permitted to talk while the men were in the room, also no eye contact with the men, and we had to eat separately. He says he wants me to learn to be a good and decent wife from them. FML

Today, my fiancé yelled at me after I got off the phone with my friends, because I said I hadn't felt this happy and hadn't laughed this much in a long time. He was also mad that I didn't cook him dinner. He didn't ask me to cook dinner for him. He then told me to go somewhere else if I'm not happy with him. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant with my boyfriend. After dessert, he went to the bathroom so I quickly called the waiter over and paid the bill, thinking it was a nice gesture. When he returned, he broke up with me for "emasculating" him. FML

Of course you should dump him. In fact, HE WANTS YOU TO DUMP HIM. After 2.5 years, he realized he wants to end things. In order for him to get what he wants, he's being an asshole of epic proportions so that you will have to break up with him for the sake of your own dignity. Sorry your relationship is over. You might as well as get the credit for breaking up with him by being the first to say the words: "It's over."

I could see myself saying something like that to my girl but only as a joke, not seriously. If it's not his type of humor, you should consider not spending the next .5 of your life with him =P
