fat people should not be allowed to have a say about anybody else's health habits. period. obesity costs more than smoking and substance abuse combined.
I understand that not every smoker gets sick, but being around smokers not only makes you smell horrible, but can lead to major problems. There are also plenty of people in the "obese" range that are healthy. And even if they aren't... they don't deserve being subjected to anything else making their health worse.
You being fat hurts no one but you. Him smoking in a bus shelter hurts others. 'Nuff said.
Not entirely true. Fat people generally claim more healthcare funds because of their weight issues. So, it does harm you, as you have to pay for them in a way... Just saying...
the ceos of insurance companies jack up the rates WAY MORE for their own raises then for "fat people health problems" Its utterly shocking how many people don't realize that. Insurance is expensive because big wigs make money and doctors are expensive. doctors are expensive because people sue over EVERYTHING
Telling a guy off for doing something illegal, self-harming, and affecting others negatively is always right. Good for you.
I agree. I understand its illegal but let him get caught.
And you can lose that 90 pounds by pushing him off a cliff
Lol
Why so many YDIs on this one? He was smoking in a semi-enclosed area (at the bus shelter), which not only pollutes the air for other people, but it's also illegal in OP's city. She politely asked him to stop, and he tells her to go lose weight. How is that not rude? How is it her fault? So what if she's fat; that's irrelevant.

While heart disease does kill more people than lung cancer, that guy was a prick.
That was a little harsh...
