T552 tells us more.
I'm actually the OP of this post (I created this account recently so I can reply) I am overqualified. I have 11 GCSE's, 3 A-levels one AS level and I'm on my way to Uni to get my honours. I only work there part time to earn some money on the side so I can pay for living expenses when I go to Uni. So to all the people who seriously thought that I work there full time, you're wrong. And to all the people who said the guy was fat, no. The customer wasn't fat XD He was a skinny guy with a horrible attitude. He even demanded that I apologise to him for getting his order wrong, even though I didn't even serve him. My managers sorted him out.

As an earlier comment said (#111), people who work for McDonalds are no different from anyone else. They do employ lots of high school students trying to earn some extra cash, and FYI ( to any who want to know) they actually offer business management carrier courses. Crew-> Crew Trainer-> Shift Manager-> Manager-> Store Manager-> Area Manager-> Head office Management. It's a chain. Cert 2 & 3 in business are available so I am told. People who complain about orders often don't place the order correctly to start with and then complain because the staff "must be able to read minds and know that the customer actually meant something else." That or they're picky and rather moronic. Take your own damn pickles off.
yikes...I worked in a coffee shop in high school/college, and I'm really glad no one ever threw their order back at me for someone else getting it wrong! haha, that would have been painful if it was a hot drink. But people were rude and terrible all the time. I really don't understand it, but one of my coworkers used to say that some people must just wake up and say "i'm going to go out and be the biggest bitch I can today". I re-made one lady's drink 3 times, because the first time the written order I had was "wrong", and then she thought of 2 different things she wanted changed too. Come to think of it, someone did throw a handful of artificial sweetener packets in my general direction once, after I told him that we didn't stock the brand he wanted. Because clearly, a 17 year old part-time employee is the one that decides which brand of artificial sweetener to stock. *rolls eyes* and if you throw something at me, I'll go find you what you want, because I'm just hiding it. yep... FYL, OP, but hopefully once you pay everything off you can stop working such a crappy job :)
Gosh, and here I was thinking abusive jerks were exclusive of USA...
should have yelled back " this ain't burger king retard"
Well at least some dude that just got out of jail didn't come in to bitch at you and threaten your life and call you a fairy at the same time lol that happened to me at Burger King haha it didn't help that when he asked for my name I said Bender while pointing at my name tag and winking all in a gay tone :^D
the customer is always right
This FML just hit home. I just quit my McDonald's job. I feel bad for OP, the same thing has happened to me, except this is worse. I didn't get pelted with a burger I didn't even make...

throw the pickles back at him!
I really don't know what customers who do things like that are thinking. Even if you HAD been the one to mess up the order, it's just something trivial-- Plus, OP is likely not paid very much. Harassing people in minimum-wage jobs is ridiculous.
