joddledoddle tells us more.
OP here, Just to clear things up. We were visiting an office site and it was at lunch I discussed the possibility of a promotion. Then, when it was time to leave the office site, I had to follow him out a series of doors and corridors to get to the parking lot. He had asked me to text my collegue to let the home office know that we were coming back and as he turned left through a door, I unintentionally went to follow him. Fortunately I looked up and noticed the puzzled look on his face and the sign on the door above my hand before I actually entered the bathroom.

Maybe he was into it
You totally deserve this, but my inner Grammar Nazi is so glad you didn't say "conversating" as so many would have (wrongly, too) that you get a pass.. Next time you are with the boss, put your phone away and pay attention!!
Conversing is a widespread and everyday word, maybe consider who you associate with if you hear "conversating" so much that you think it's the norm.
I wouldn't give you that promotion if you where talking to me and texting at the same time. That's just rude.
Next time follow him unintentionally to his hotelroom. Probably more comfortable and higher chance of promotion,
maybe he thinks you want t to manage him now

Thanks for the details, but we really would like to know his reactions when you guys discuss your promotion next time.
haha, this is definitely something that could happen to me. Just laugh it off and apologize (Y)
#25 - Maybe for this one, but what about the recent one where the police was called for a child laughing? That followup broke my heart, knowing the OP can now have their child taken for the simplest of accidents. It's like real life "Depressing Comic Week" by Cyanide and Happiness; tragedy juxtapositioned by an ironic or unlikely situation. That followup *made* the FML.
police *were called. Sorry, I guess I spent too much time correcting other grammatical errors to notice that.
I feel like it's different for women. A lot of women use the restroom together, but we don't have urinals. Edit: Just realized OP is also female. My bad!
Keep following him until you get that promotion
LOL, best advice on this thread so far. :')
I guess you could say you were trying to follow in his footsteps
The boss needs more toilet paper.
