Today, whilst walking past a large pond-sized puddle, a double decker bus and a van slowed and drove around the puddle so as not to splash me. Thinking luck was on my side, I began walking more confidently, only for a tiny Smart car to come hurtling past, causing a huge wave of water to hit me. FML

Smart car, but dumb asshole of a driver...sorry op

Never be fooled. That's the universe trying to get you to go and think everything is all right, before it strikes like a cobra. Hope you're good, though, OP.

That why you should always walk around in rain gear so as not to get soaking wet

Well at least some people are considerate.

I guess you forgot that there are more than two vehicles on the street at one time.

I know people who think it's funny to do that... I think it's idiotic, humiliating, and evil. Why are people such assholes?

1 out 3 people from the UK are jerks apparently.

Can only hope this still holds true: if a car drives into water that is deep enough to splash high, it splashes also into the electronics parts and stops the engine at least till the water dries out. Usually the car goes a while because of initial speed, then stops in the middle of traffic, the driver has to get assistance and is late for wherever he was going to, hope karma noticed and he missed something really important.

This has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with how people are inconsiderate. FYL

I guess they were right when they said smart car drivers are douchebags

I guess the driver thought he had to hit that puddle at speed to make it to the other side without his smart car floating away! Too bad he wasn't smart enough to go around.
