well birth control honestly doesn't work like how its supposed to. Thats why soo many kids are born and have a birth defect like scoliosis ect. Condoms are really the only things that works
Condoms aren't 100% guaranteed to work. The only 100% guarantee is abstinence, which not a lot of people are going to do.
Did you not see any symptoms of pregnancy though, OP? Either way, hope it all works out
I'll be looking for your follow up, OP. sorry this happened, next time get on the birth control before you and your partner become sexually active together. the depo shot is great, not invasive, inexpensive, and you only have to wait two weeks for it to start working! I hope your partner is supportive when hearing the news.
sometimes the things that seem the worst r always the best.
They also make condoms you know?
I have the mirena iud. it was the best decision I ever made. being heavier the other methods aren't as effective. it hurt for about two days after I got it, but I haven't had a period in 2 years and I've lost a bunch of weight. I don't have to worry about taking a pill every day and the hormones are localized to the specific area so there's no adverse effects. the spontaneity is great and my boyfriend can't feel the strings.
I had to get the strings clipped on mine because my husband said he could feel it but then I also have to rearrange my internal organs back to their proper positions after sex so he just had to get used to it after the dr told him he couldn't cut them any shorter the second time. I agree though that it's a pretty decent form of birth control my youngest daughter turns five in November so I'm almost due for a swap and I've always explained to people who ask that I have a tiny little lazer inside my uterus that delivers swift and efficient death to all sperm [insert evil laugh #17]
