Unbelievable

Today, I received two withdrawal grades in school for dropping the classes due to a kidney infection that kept me in the hospital. I wrote a petition to the dean asking to remove the grades. He replied to send a doctor's note. I did so, and he then said that I was faking and the note was forged. FML

WTF.....Let him call your doc!!!!! What a ******* retard. edit: you're an idiot greenman, let's see you man through that.

Sue him for loss of future earnings due to him being a douche and giving you these withdrawl grades. But seriously. That sucks. Maybe get your parents to talk with him. Or get him to call your doctor. But why bother asking for the note if he already decided you were faking it.

Your college doesn't do incompletes? Or was that what you were trying to get your grade changed to?

#10 yea if you have an unusual amount of them. But 2 is obviously not going to be that bad! Plus anyone who is going to be interested in the transcripts will probably also be interested in knowing what happened and why s/he withdrew.

Ws don't affect your grade, but that's still two courses you have to retake. What a douche.

Then find out what the dean will accept as proof that you had the infection, and demand an apology when he admits that you weren't lying.

ZOA - you aren kind of wrong there. No, they may not affect your GPA, but often times the W will affect your "track." Many colleges impose a "tracking" system on classes and certain grades which can prevent a student from signing up for more classes, or worse, throw the student "off-track" and which will put them on a sort of academic probation. This system is designed to weed students out who may not be as serious about their work as others... so this could essentially hurt the OP. ALSO some schools only allow a certain amount of class withdrawals. OP - you need to take all of your medical records into the dean (this includes bills and proof of a hospital stay - not just a note from a doctor). If the dean of your college (who I assume you went to - to those who are unaware, within a universityt here are colleges and each "college" - such as college of fine arts, college of medicine, etc - has their own dean) refuses to accept that then you need to go to a higher dean. IF that doesn't work then I suggest going to your schools legal counsel. Many times large universities have on premises legal advice from the law college. Speak to them and go from there.

honestly greenman, what a dick response that was. you must be a scientologist. surely you could fight of a viral infection of a major internal organ all on your loneson, huh? OP, get a lawyer or find someone that can do something about your dean. that is completely unacceptable and unprofessional on his/her part. and everyone who said Ws do have a significant effect on transcripts is right. may not affect the gpa, but surely affects your rep, and puts doubt/question into peoples minds. you shouldnt be worried at all though, this sucks, but is fixable, and not at all your fault. hope everything turns out well, FYL indeed, take action...

i agree with the poster who said to give the dean a copy of your doctors bill.

your all idiots, this probably never happened or he gave him good reason to fail. If he coldnt think to have the doctor call himself he's too dumb to get his degree anyway/or just lying out there ass. i have kiney stones and go to BC, they've exempted me eery time
