Today, I showed up on time for a job interview. After waiting for about three hours, I was informed that the manager had "better things to do" than interview me. FML

Doesn't sound like a company you would have wanted to work at. Good luck with the job search!

Perhaps it's just as well. If you had been hired, he might have had "better things to do" than sign your paycheck.

You arrived on time and waited three hours? Wow. I think I would have left after one. But now you know you really don't want to work for this organization if they're this rude.

I could understand if there was some form of emergency for the manager (family etc), however you should have been told and offered to rescheduled as soon as it became evident the manager would not be on time, or within 10mins of interview time. The manager may have left you a message, which staff forgot to pass on, and then to cover their own asses told you something so rude, you wouldn’t call the manager for a new interview time. Or the manager may just be a rude prick that doesn’t deserve their job. I’d say make the call and find out for sure.

You wwaited three hours. You must be patient. No matter how bad i might need the job i don’t think i would have waited more then 30 minutes.
