We need to talk…

Today, I took a look at my 9-year-old daughter's diary, thinking it would be full of cute stuff. Instead, it was full of hateful rants against me and my husband, as well the boys at her school, who she called gay because none of them ever hit on her. It seems I've failed as a parent. FML

Yes OP you have failed as a parent for reading your 9 year old child's diary.

the first thing that came to mind was the movie "orphan" ....

Reading your daughter's diary is not the way to go if you don't want her writing hateful rants about you.

therapy now, it could honestly be a symptom of a bigger problem

I wouldn't say you failed. I was like that as a child and now I'm nothing but respectful to people I meet, even if they are complete ****-mongers.

You didn't fail it's actually quite normal I know I wrote rants like that. Your doing fine

If you're the kind of parent who reads their kid's diary, no wonder she hates you

Ok first of all DO NOT READ HER DIARY and second she should of hid it! That's what i do!

I'd hate my parents, too, if they went snooping through your diary. That's the part where you failed as a parent, not because she ended up bad. Give the child some privacy, YDI

Well they do say that statistically girls mature faster... but, this time is kind of odd...
