What did I miss?

Today, I was the bridesmaid for my dad and stepmum's wedding. As I was walking down the aisle, I tripped and fell over my high heels, hit my head on the armrest of a wooden chair on the way down, then passed out. I now have a concussion and a broken ankle. The wedding went on without me. FML

don't feel bad about them going on without you. there's a lot involved in one, if they stopped things, you're looking at waiting another year, and a few thousand dollars. Don't take it personally. feel better

At first I thought you meant they kept going while you were passed out, surely you didn't mean you wanted them not to have the wedding at all ? I get being frustrated not to be there but come on, you can't expect them to throw away all the food, flowers, band and such because you can't make it. If it were a life threatening situation then sure but that ?

You do realize that if they canceled last minute theyd still have to pay for everything right? i wouldn't want to pay for that shit twice. One wedding is expensive enough. im sorry you got hurt though.

I'm guessing you hate your stepmum and this was deliberate to ruin her day. Lucky karma caught up with you and knocked you full out so you couldn't bleat about how much pain you were in for the rest of the day!
