I don't understand this.. If you care about your boyfriend enough to file a police report, why would you leave your phone unattended, since you're obviously waiting for news about him? Even if you had to use the bathroom, you should have either handed the phone to someone else in case the sheriff called, or taken it to the bathroom with you. I'm calling BS (which I never do), because I can't believe you'd ever leave your phone in that situation.

Impossible to know if the OP is a control freak or anything similar to one. Someone cares about someones well being so their a control freak? Geez you people have issues. The perfect example for the reason you should look into if someone is possibly lost, injured, or even dead when they agreed to be back by a certain time/date and haven't attempted to make contact is because simply that.. they might be one of the above and you could care less. One of my dad's hunting buddies had a relative who'd go hunting any chance he could(when season is open and would go after work all the time) and he didn't like being asked when he'd be back or to which hunting spot he'd be going to.. he tried to a cross a fence at one of the farms and when he crossed it some of the snow was really soft and his foot sunk in and his ankle snapped. He froze to death. And the OP is a control freak, right.
