Today, while picking up my 14-year-old sister, a friend of hers asked if I was her mother. I'm only 17. FML

It happens. When I was 5, and my two 15 and 17 year old sisters went out with me, people asked if they were lesbian teen parents

Well she was just 17, you know what I mean And the way she looked was way beyond comapre

I'm in the same boat. I've been mistaken as the mother to my younger brother not once, but twice by his teacher. Really does wonders to your self-esteem.

looks like you need a spa day... some pampering, to de-stress from that awful experience

I feel you. i've been mistaken countless times for a "mother". When showing up to school to pick up my brother or to attend a meeting on behalf of my parents. And I'm only 3 years older than him.

that could be a good thing. That means you look mature.

Had the same thing happen with my sister but she was 14 and I was 15. I did look older as a teenager combination of wearing glasses and early puberty, my sister looked young even for a 14 year old, it didn't help that she's short.

My younger brother's friends have asked me the same thing, it's a pretty common thing but still weird being asked that lol.
