Who do you take me for?

By pandaboo - This FML is from back in 2010 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I was staying over at my boyfriend's house, sleeping in his sister's room while she is away at college. I left my necklace on her dresser. When I came back, it was gone. His mother saw it there and thought it was her daughter's necklace. She hid it so I wouldn't "steal it". FML

I would get your boyfriend to steal it back. He must believe you.

An awful mother in law.. It's almost too cliché.

they slept in diferernt rooms because it was obvious that his mom was worried about teen sex

You are right, but it may not even have to be "teen" sex... I'm 21 and whenever I take my boyfriend to my parents house, we always have to sleep in different rooms due to my parents not wanting people having sex in their house while they are there.... its also a morals thing... but again, you are correct.

I'm 22 and my parents let my boyfriend sleep in my room at their house because they know I won't have sex in their house. But yeah, a lot of my friends aren't allowed to have their SO sleep in their rooms.

just have sex with your boyfriend. moms get pissed when ***** steal their baby boy's ummm "virtue"? xD

It's probably pawned already. Want to get back at her? Tell her you're pregnant.

There's still a chance that wouldn't make his mom change her mind about the OP. I've been dating my boyfriend over a year, tried to get his mom to spend time with me and get to kow me, and she still hates me for no reason. Ugh it's always the case of "You're stealing my baby from me!"

so why not just tell her it's yours? how hard is that? hardly a catastrophe

why are you sleeping in there? and not in your boyfriends room? idiot.

Here's a thought, just because you're dating someone or staying at their house doesn't mean you have to sleep together or have sex. Jeez, does anyone have morals these days?

What is the point of sleeping over if you're not going to be in the same room? Take sex out of the equation: the point of sleeping over is so that you're not sleeping alone, right? If she's sleeping in a separate bed ANYWAY she might as well go home.

@70 they could have plans together the next day that requires OP to be at his house early and its just easier for her to stay over or they could live quite far apart and she is staying with him for that reason. They could have any number of reasons for being ready to stay at each others houses but not ready to have sex.

lol if they're young wtff are they doing sleeping over eachothers house:O I don't get it.

They could be long-distance or something, and she could be visiting. Her parents could be out of town.
