Whoops

Today, I planned a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. I invited all his friend and made all his favorite food. He was running very late, so I called to ask what was taking so long. His response? He said he was at his house, with the very friends I was standing next to. FML

She never said she was at HIS house, and odds are she would have said so if she was, given that she pointed out she was with his friends. So your idea is not really an option. There are other reasons he could have lied, but it's a fair bet that he was out cheating. It's a FYL, definitely. OP, talk to your boyfriend, and unless he has a good excuse (and IMO, the only good excuse would be something along the lines of the ring idea), dump his sorry ass.

hahaaha how did he sneak in w/o u seeing him?? and then how did u not notice him there?? hahaha

he didn't sneak in. he lied because he was actually cheating. are you not understanding this?

Wow... again, I'm glad my SO is nothing like you people. You discover one little white lie, and you dump him? What if he just wanted to stay home, but didn't want to hurt your feelings, and so lied a bit? Or what if he was grounded, but didn't want to admit it? I admit it's not the most mature thing to do, but I don't think it's a dump-worthy offense. What is a dump-worthy offense is personal insecurity and jealousy to the extent that you would automatically assume your SO is cheating. Honestly, is your self-esteem so low that you don't believe you can hold onto your boy/girlfriend? Or do you trust him/her so little you automatically assume he/she is cheating? Either option is pretty disheartening.

Somebody around here can't read where in several posts (including mine), it says to TALK to him and if he doesn't have a good excuse, then to dump him. If he was doing something shady, of course she should dump him. Why would he need to lie to her if he wasn't doing something wrong? If, on the off chance that he did have a good reason for it, fine, she'll find that out when they talk, but if not, why shouldn't she dump him? Too many women (and men) put up with too much crap from their SO when they really don't have to. Sure, jealousy and suspicion can be a sign of low self esteem...so can dating a lying dirtbag.

OMG Guess who just made a big fool of themselves XD

Dang...FYL!! That's a messed up way of finding out that he's a cheating prick.

Your boyfriend is a ******* asshole. Dump him.

Why do people just assume he's cheating?? He could not like her a ton atm and just want a little alone time without having to explain it to her. It's happened to me before.
