I certainly hope you two don't have a joint checking account.
Who says OP is obese? Or even overweight? Maybe she just gained a few, it doesn't mean she's unhealthy.
See! I agree with this!
it does he don't judge you, you don't judge him
Let's put both events on the scale of life, shall we? Weight gain is a reversible occurrence (if desired) while money lost in a gamble is gone forever! Judging from the way the scale tipped over at the latter; his gambling problem grossly over-shadows your perceived weight gain.
wrong just gamble again and win your money back plus more. it's as simple (easy) as that
"Misrepresented yourself to him by gaining weight" . . . wow. When you date someone, there's no mutual understanding that you will look the same forever. In fact it's the EXACT opposite. Your looks WILL change. Anyone with a brain knows that. The only way your statement would make any sense would be if she catfished him over the internet before they ever met in real life. Possible? Sure, but full of really weird off the wall assumptions. Gambling problems could ruin BOTH their lives. Gaining or losing weight is GOING to happen to them both at some point and just isn't remotely comparable. TL;DR: Bad comment. Bad assumptions. No.
He can loose everything, his house , cars I mean everything such addictions destroy everything around them, even when it's all gone some don't see the problem they stay in denial . Get out so you don't have to suffer along side him and be his patsy!!!
This sounds so much like my ex. You can probably take a guess as to why that didn't work out. I should have dumped him so much sooner. Don't waste as much time as I did.
After a comment like that, I hope you decided to leave him

Take a gamble and dump his ass.
There is no comparison, a gambling addiction will literally take everything from his life. If he doesn't get some help (do something about the issue) you shouldn't stay to see the destruction.
