He loves you that's all that matters...along with your well being and he is probably not helping with thaf
The fact that you may or may not have gained weight is irrelevant and he's just trying to take the attention off his problem. He sounds like a complete ass.
Gaining a little weight, maybe have to buy some new jeans, maybe some shirts. Gambling addiction, maybe build up a massive debt, maybe piss off your bookie if you don't pay up, maybe get yourself and your family killed.
Nothing can even out your fat ass.
Simply brilliant!
get a new boyfriend
screw him.
No she doesn't.
doesn't it though? gambling with money vs. gambling with calories seems legit
The 2 issues are apples & oranges, but I can sorta understand. He has a problem that he doesn't like it when you talk about it. He feels you don't love him because of his problem. He's merely pointing out that he loves you despite a weight gain. Obviously that is a horrible thing to point out because if someone truly loves you weight shouldn't have anything to do with it. But the moral is he loves you despite your problem, you should love him despite his problem and stop talking about it.

Take a gamble and dump his ass.
There is no comparison, a gambling addiction will literally take everything from his life. If he doesn't get some help (do something about the issue) you shouldn't stay to see the destruction.
