You're nicked!

Today, I arrived at work, only to be arrested and accused of stealing over $8000 from my job. Five hours later at the police station, the discovery was made that the actual thief had an employee ID one digit different than mine. He works at another location over 1200 miles away. FML

5 hours is fairly quick for the police to understand an embezzlement case...

I would sue the hell out of these assholes.

At my most recent job, usually the manager would take some money from the safe when someone was about to leave to make them seem untrustful. unfortunately, i worked there for 2 years to know....i recently quit.

i think you might actually be able to gain something out of this one

sounds like its time for a lawsuit......

Assuming you want to stay in your current job, wouldn't a lawsuit be counterproductive? Think about it-- right now you OWN them. Suing will just piss them off. Yeah, they screwed up big-time; milk it for all you can. (Company car, double paid vacation days, a better parking space...)

the problem with that is company's wont give u any of it

At least they made the discovery that you were not the one who stole all that money, right?

it would have been better if you had stolen OVER $9000!!!!!!!!!1!?1!!!

this is fake...like the fifth time I've read a story exactly like this, with the same amount of money and time it took to figure out the problem...

i know you're not gonna reply to this but chances are you just read the same FML 5 times when going through the random FML's :P

wow this is stupid at least u weren't in there for long

Sue them, and make sure the local media knows
