OWNED!!
Well it is sort of their job, but they have to learn how to do it more afficiently.
Faack, ignore typos.
I always think this is gonna happen to me because I basically shop at just 1 store... I actually just bought a pair of shorts that were the same ones I was currently wearing yesterday. I'm always wearing clothes into that store that they're still currently selling :P
Instead of examing the T-shirt, why didn't they just examine the damn security video?
it's funny because you were late for being accused of something you didn't do
8- because that would have been too smart an idea. OP, had you left the store yet? Did they check the change rooms? They had no proof... video cameras should have been checked, as 8 said, and they're morons. Don't shop there again.
the world is just sad....
you worry about your work??? you have a criminal file now! jk lol
oops, I meant criminal record... (silly me)
47 - You win man
I was held up when leaving sainsburys and accused of stealing onions..because I was wearing a black coat..
I always have that in the back of my Ming when I bring my things into a store that sells the same thing. I never thought it would actually happen though.
hahahaha freshpie you've done it again!! love it!! also 58, when commenting on how stupid other people are, you should take greater care to ensure that you use proper grammar. It's "too stupid" you troglodyte.
u r a creep 47 u have to ruin the story everytime
47 I actually red the whole thing
ooh that sucks
Fuhohohoho... This is why I don't like to go shopping while wearing something I'd bought at that store... Oh-so awkward.
Did the place you went to not have security cameras? Most retail stores do. If so, why didn't they just review the tapes? I remember when a store thought I stole a purse from them, I simply told them I paid for it, gave them all of my information and walked out. I'm not going to sit around and be accused of something I didn't do. They are rent-a-cops not actual police officers. They can't legally detain you, unless they have a valid reason. Since they didn't see you shoplift or had someone else tell them you shoplifted, they had no reason.
So what.. They thought you walked in the store with no tee shirt on?
Huh? that doesn't make any sence. you can always walk in with a tshirt on and switch them in the fittingroom.
And there would be the evidence still sitting in either the fitting room or OP's purse, assuming she has one.
Exactly.
I know we Americans love to say "Sue!" for everything, but you can actually sue the clothing store for that.
OP, you're actually pretty lucky. You CAN sue for that, and Wal-Mart, for example, likes to settle out of course for something like 8 grand. Easy money!
haha yeah security videos would have been a lot more helpful.
Your cat looks like it's about to bite you face off. :/ Btw, cool hair
You were treated very badly. I don't honestly think that this would be a good use of the legal system, but I think you should write a letter to the owner of the store or, if it's a chain, that person explaining why you will not be shopping there again.

I always worry this will happen to me, because it's not like you carry every receipt you ever get on your person. But good job on keeping your clothes looking brand new I guess. :)
