Yummy

By kjmsit - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I reached into my fridge to grab a strawberry soda. I noticed the can had started to leak from the top so I slurped up the spilt red liquid on the top of the can. I realized it wasn't soda, but blood from a defrosting steak on the shelf above it. FML

Oh man, nasty! That's why meat goes on the bottom. Hope you don't get sick.

Are you vegetarian? That'd be even worse.

Blood looks very different from soda. You can see through soda, while blood is dark colored. Dumbass. YDI

ohh that's foul. if you're the one that put the steak above the drinks, YDI. if someone else in the house put it there, FYL. **** temperature zones, you can't put meat on the damn top for EXACTLY this reason. who cares if it's warmer? you ARE trying to thaw it out and its assumed that you will be cooking it promptly. it's fine as long as you do. leave it sit a few days and you may have a problem on your hands.

wow wow wow Strawberry Soda???

#22 you just dumb... IF the can had a leak, the pressure from the can would be just enough to overcome gravity. Just like if you shake a bottle of soda and open it, the pressure goes the only way possible, up. The can is pressurized by CO2, and if this pressure is released via leak, it will go the the leak... FYL

of course, because liquid leaks upwards .. good job on learning gravity

exactly. and this is why it's perfectly fine to shake a soda before opening it. Everyone knows it won't spray into your face! also...how is it that so many people have never heard of strawberry soda? that stuff is awesome!

I agree with #1. raw meat should always be kept on the very bottom of a fridge or freezer for obvious reasons.
