#1 If you didn't know, most fridges have different temperature "zones" or whatever you want to call them. Meat goes on the top shelf, because its the coldest part of the fridge. Vegetables and fruits go to the bottom, because it's the warmest part of the fridge.

Why the hell's that gross? I eat my meat red, it has blood in it when I eat it as well.
Actually, that red stuff dripping from the steak is myoglobin, a water soluble protein. So maybe you won't feel as sick now.
... And thats why you always put the frozen/defrosting meat on the bottom shelf. So that if anything spills it doesn't go into anything that you want to eat.
