Take it and pretend they did nothing, then complain that they didn't get you anything for Christmas
I agree with Samster200, just pretend that it arrived then act all relieved and see what they do.
You can say you complained about it not arriving and that they sent you a new game.
Take it out and when they get home be like "hey look what just arrived in the post after all! They must have got the address wrong or something." If they protest and say you went through their stuff then you have the upperhand because obviously they stole your stuff, if they bite their tongue and play along knowing full well what you did but not willing to admit they stole from you.. you get more christmas gifts. Win win!
I would like to state that either way, don't play a match of call of duty with your dad over it. We all know how that ends.
They stole from him to give it as a gift! TF is that??

Show it anywayIf so, they should have the balls to tell their kid the truth. Not steal and lie in order to maintain their fake lives.
Like I said, I definitely don't approve of stealing from your kids. And no, it's not right just because it's tempting. But admitting that you are in so deep trouble financially that you can't buy your kid a present for Christmas is a huge blow - it takes a pretty mature and flexible person to admit that their idea of a picture perfect Christmas is going to crumble. I'm feeling a little for the family because my own family has had to go through the same - not financially, but we've fallen somewhat apart due to conflicts in the family, and no one has been able to admit that a picture perfect Christmas just isn't a option at this time, so Christmas the past three years has ended in fights and tears all around. It obviously sucks for the kid, and I ALWAYS condemn stealing from your child, but what the parents are going through isn't necessarily easy, either.
72- Or the parents saw a free ride out of paying for a present and took it because they are lazy. You shouldn't assume that just because they did that, they are broke. Hell I've done that to my husband, as a joke of course. We both laughed about it and I gave him his real present afterwards. Quit being so dramatic.
72- Why do you just keep assuming that the parent are in economic trouble? They could have just be lazy assholes who didn't want to go buy their kid a present. Quit ranting about their so called "financial trouble" because they probably aren't even in it. So please, shut up. You sound like a moron the more you go on.
89- No one knows either way if they are in financial trouble or not except OP. You don't need to be disrespectful and call anyone names.
I understand what you're saying. Everyone else is just assuming that the parents are saving extra cash they already have and lashing at you for being the devil's advocate. Read what he said again people and stop trying to pick fights that you can't back up!!!
At least it's something you wanted!
Obviously, why would op order something he did not want?
On one hand, I want to say YDI for snooping around because it's rude to go through someone else's private things. On the other hand, your parents are cheapskates and liars. If you paid for the package yourself then take it out and tell them, "Hey, it arrived after all!"
Don't see how he deserves it for snooping around. If he didn't snoop then he wouldn't have known, and the parents would of only gotten away with stealing from him. At least now he knows he can't trust his parents.
...because snooping around to find your Christmas presents is not a nice thing to do? If OP's parents had bought a present for him (a scenario that's more likely than receiving a present you paid for), OP would have found it and destroyed the surprise. Again, not nice.
I bet all of us have snooped at one point or another..
And does that make it suddenly alright? No.
Some parents say things like that to be cute, I'm 31 years old and my parents still put 'from: Santa' on some of my presents.
That's not a private thing though because it will go to him/her
Well son, I suppose even Santa has to outsource a little labor now and again. Let me 'present' you with another fact. At the very least this Christmas you will get the thing you have so desperately desired. And there will be children out there, ( maybe even in your own town) who will wish for nothing more than a decent meal. Quit whining OP. Happy Holidays! ;)
What's wrong with you? His parents stole his property and wanted to cheat him! In what way is that acceptable? Just because there are poor kids out there doesn't mean it's OK to steal form your son. If you don't see that, I advise you find professional help.
This is how I read your post: 'There are worse situations than yours, so you don't have the right to complain.' Bad attitude, mate.
25 - this has nothing to do with that. OP paid for it.
But what does this comment say?! My life will never be complete now!
Yeah, your parents stole your property? Oh, thats okay, its just a part of life!
You shouldn't have been snooping around! And by the sound of it, you seem to be too young to be on FML or have a smart phone.
So he's too young to have a smart phone or an FML account but he's old enough to buy things off the Internet? Where does your logic come from...?
People lie about their age all the time online duh
My Dad did that to me one year. Very irritating.
While you shouldn't have been snooping in your parent's closet, what they did was even worse. You have to be a pretty scummy person to steal someone else's property to give it to them as a present.
