Another fine mess

By Moron - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - Canada

Today, due to a misunderstanding, I unintentionally agreed to have a dinner date with a co-worker. He's ten years older than me. Not only do I have to find a way to reject him, but I have to work with him on weekends. The worst part is, he's the first guy to ask me out in ages. FML

Just go out with him this one time, then if you still don't want to date him after this, kindly let him know.

LOL... What, are you 12??? Grow up.

Just go to the dinner. It's free and you never know, you might have fun.

Why is his age the issue? Age isn't a big factor by itself. What else is wrong with him?

I love older men, so I don't see why ten years is a big deal. But just go on the date and if you don't like him, then don't go on a second. Who knows though, you might like him.

The real problem is that he is not hot. The age difference is no big deal unless you're 8 and he's 18. Given that you've been dateless for years, you evidently are not hot, either, so lower your standards and give this guy a chance. He's willing to settle for someone ugly, you ought to follow his example.

If you haven't had a date in ages, quit being so picky & go on a simple date with the one person who isn't completely repulsed by you.

What does the age difference have to do with anything? That's a pretty normal spread between two halves of a couple.

For all you know she might be 18 and he's a creepy looking 30 yr old. Not to mention they work together. Just tell him you have to study
