Apple juice, ************

By Anonymous - 05/11/2012 17:01 - United States - Silver Spring

Today, at daycare, a little girl cussed me out because I didn't have any apple juice left. When I called her parents, they sided with her and cussed me out too. My boss refused to sympathize, and reprimanded me for not making sure we still had apple juice. FML

Wow some kids are so spoiled. It's worse when the parents do nothing about it.

What's wrong with this generation? Cussing solves nothing. The girl is a spoiled brat.

The same thing that's wrong with every generation: bad apples giving the impression that the entire generation is a problem.

While the child and parents were in the wrong because you shouldn't behave that way. I question if it is your responsibility to watch the supplies. If so then you deserve it from your boss because you failed to meet your job responsibilities.

Nobody deserves getting cussed out by a child who would be, what? Four?

I'm pretty sure they specified the boss on that one.

While cussing out was wrong. Why were things not portioned so every child got some apple juice? If I were your boss I wouldn't sympathize either as you as the child care provider should have had enough for each child as they are all paying customers. I am sure you wouldn't like it if your boss had told you that everyone else was getting medical insurance but they could not cover you due to running out of available slots (unlikely scenario but the only example I can think of right now haha)

Perhaps they have multiple flavors of juice, but today everyone wanted apple?

Perhaps that is the case... Not enough info from the little blurb. :P

Who said anything about other kids getting apple juice? Maybe there wasn't any all day and nobody got juice.

"....didn't have any apple juice left" That implies that there was some to pass out in the first place.

Maybe it's one of those day cares where try have scheduled "snack times" and only have enough juice for those times, but the kid wanted another at a different time. We don't really know the whole background.

So many run on sentences...use more punctuation...

As a teacher I have to disagree with you. That child has simply learn that the world doesn't revolve them and if they can't get what they want then too damn bad.

Or the kid could have wanted a second cup.

91 - if you were talking about not being able to share a box of crayons sure. However the more likely scenario that has happened is it was snack time and a child was not provided the same snack as the others. As a teacher, you should be able to find that as the optimal reason for the OPs scenario

What the **** is wrong with you? A daycare without apple juice is like a bar without alcohol -- ******* useless.

That's the punch line to an old joke about a kid not wanting any ****** milk and cookies .. Teacher calls his parents and they say ok, then don't give him any ******* milk and cookies...

Only it's apple juice... And the kid was wanting some... So no, not the punch line to an old joke...

I don't think making sure apple juice was in stock was your responsibility... So I'd see to making a legal accusation against them

Why on earth would you do that? It really isn't worth the money for something that unimportant.

Rofl A legal accusation because a customer was unhappy and used profanity? Jesus Christ you're a sheltered idiot ^maybe I should edit that out before you try to sue me. *cough*. Nah **** it...

Uhm not so much of a sheltered life. but if a boss makes a false accusation against you that would hinder your job there, it'd best to make him know that he/she is in the wrong

What false accusation was made? Do you know the meaning of reprimand? How does making sure there is apple juice hinder ones job of passing out apple juice?

Do the right thing... Don't ever give apple juice again!

Juice or no juice, regardless whose responsibility it was to stock it, the parents should've at least apologized for their daughter's foulness & the boss should've put the girl in time out. But should've, could've, would've.. it's crystal clear where the little girl gets her behavior!

Maybe they should learn to drink something healthy from a young age. It's just stupid to serve juice for small kids. Give them milk or water!
