Today, I met up with my dad for the first time in 7 years. We planned to go to a nice restaurant but he changed the place we were going to, to Chuck E. Cheese. I'm 18 years old. I waited an hour for him to show up. I then ended up babysitting his daughter the whole time. FML

Today, I was supposed to be going on my first date with a guy I really liked. He never showed up. I just found out my dad was outside washing the car when my date showed up. He told him he didn't have a daughter and to never show up on his driveway again. FML

I really can't think of anything more romantic than soggy pizza and a man in a sweaty mouse costume. the hyper kids and vomit hidden in the strangest places in the play place is just a plus.

FYL. While there is nothing wrong with him having a kid, it would have been better for the guy to let you know without showing up with the kid like that. That's a lot to take in on the first date.

I don't exactly see how this is an FML. You went out on a date with a good guy, who loves his kid. And, who was willing to show you how much he loved his kid. Besides, Chuck E. Chesse is fun! I mean, yeah... it sucks that you got surprised with this really big info about him and you didn't have time to digest before you actually met the kid. And, obviously the kid changes the relationship you'll have with him. But, you've got this out of the way at the start. If you're open to it, it doesn't have to effect your relationship. Plus--if you ever end up marrying him you can make him change all the diapers of your future kids! Cuz, he knows what he's doing!
